I really like the new fuel simple 4 line, nice chicken loop setup, I would like to ask current and past fuel owners whether it is a difficult kite to relaunch, any pros and cons and best size for WA conditions for a 85kg rider 9m or 11m?

Hey Upump

Unfortunately when u take away the fifth line on any brand kite, you also trade away part of its performance !

Joe Public wanted easier relaunch & couldnt be bothered swimming towards the kite - they bridled them, found out about slow responce time - now there goin back to c speed because Joe Public is getting more skilled & doesnt want a slow turning kite

I have both 4 & 5 line kites but dont much like that middle one when walking out my lines

Get the 11m

The new Fuel launches like any bridle kite, SLE or BOW. Pull the steering line and up she pops. Or reverse launch it.

Best kite ever!

its the swept tips on the leading edge that makes kites ie the fuel re-launch easier from a steering line nearly most kites re-launch this way now

I actually prefer the relaunch on the fuel to the bridle kites.

The 09 fuel has really good quick relaunch if your technic is good.

11m fuel for wa light winds and 9m for stronger. Choice is only one kite would be 9m

Title is Fuel vs Delta.
Most delta kite are auto relaunch, I think the message is clear.

Again like every other question about kite: DEMO IT
its free
its fun
and next time some one ask you you have the experience!

I guess I was also looking to see if anyone had moved from the Fuel to the Delta style kites and why, I can appreciate the designs are different.

I can remember seeing a video on a particular brand kite and it was like you needed an extra hand to hold the middle line while you pulled the outer
line and the other hand tweaked the bar..............! Has anyone found similar issues with the Fuel, I am on a Dos at the moment and so relaunch is a
walk in the park and was wondering if the fuel was a big change?

you pull on a back line and it relaunches, or you can always go the reverse launch.

Can't compare to a delta but '09 Fuel relaunches easy if you are nicely powered. If it's light - underpowered - can be a bit harder.

Try one.
