Had a rest day before the Lancelin Ocean Classic kitesurf downwind romp. Not much kiting since breaking some vertebrae and herniating discs snowboarding in August
Kited the marathon( midfield on a twin tip fwiw).
Haven't missed a day since.
How awesome has it been?? Body is slowly breaking down, need a new harness, broke my ten metre two weeks ago and haven't missed it. Nearly blown off the water today on an eight. Going deaf from wind noise, hands can only make the shape of a control bar or a stubbie, look like a bloody panda from tan lines from sunnies. Utterly surfed out and loving it!!
Forecast is rock solid for a week plus!!
Determined not to tap out until the run of greens ends

Back is officially fixed!!

I like your attitude! I love it when the body "hurts so good"! My knee has been sore and in need of a few days rest, but when the wind comes up, I can't sit still. After kiting 9 our of 10 days in a row, and most were 4 hour sessions, a little break was in order. Saying that, looking at our forecast Monday is shaping up to be the best day of the year, swell and windwise!

Now who's showing their age??!!

Note to you, even if you don't know what it means, don't publicly ask.

Downwinder from Cottesloe to Brighton. Not as big as the last couple of days but not as choppy either as the wind was not blowing like sixty thousand assholes. Some very smackable sections. Smacked as many as I could. Awesome getting off the water and looking down the coast and seeing , I dunno maybe 80/100 kites along the coast as everyone catches the downwinder train North.
Hot chick in a bikini doing yoga at the waterline made me work on my cutback!!
Summer time in W.A cannot be described.

Happy days

It is an unbelievable place ( 4 glass of wine) been here 30 years as a pom migrant. Came here for the beach as a windsurfer, and now lapping it up as kiter. Unreal sunset tonight in Gero.

Oz day is perfect ... So happy
