Thank jeesus-H-chroist-awmighty!!!

Had the 1st decent sesh fon Sat around 4.30, possibly since May!!

After injury, no wind, fek all wind, 40kts+, no wind, NWstrly cra@p and waaayyy too much work etc I took a punt and got out at Brighton solo (normally I would baulk at that in winetr conditions - yep cause I am fairy.. bread lover) I scored - whilst gusty - the perfect range of rollercoaster winds to suit my new 9m and had an absolute ball-tearer!!

Had massive front(s) come through - not long after getting past the sets/shorey/slop and trying to get as far out to sea (for relative safety) - both to the north and south of me, but strong, relatively clean breeze and only the fringes of the bucketing down rain that guys only 300m either side were copping.

Even better when I was thinking how lucky am I (whilst not taking my eyes off the fronts all the same) out comes the biggest most vibrant double rainbow central to where I and one other diehard were kiting. I swear it hit the water and travelled a path straight towards me too!! Amazing.

Anyway - I only lasted a bit over an hour before I was getting knackered and the sun was slipping. The liitle voice in my head said"OK - one more run." before the BIG voice said "No kn way Hose!! Why spoil a solid sesh? Head in now boyo!" Awesome move as, 10 secs after landing, a dood trashed his kite in the surf as the conditions went pear-shaped.

Have had a super stressy few weeks (and only getting worse this week) and this sesh, then going home to the fam all happy, a warm shower and all of us tucking into take-away lifted my spirits in a spectacular way.

Sometimes you just get lucky..

Hope everyone else had some luck over the weekend too.

the fact that high rise office windows don't open has nothing to do with the wind, it's because if they opened 90% of us would kill ourselves every monday lunchtime. Or kill each other:

Yeah but even that was better than doing laps down at the local pool

Definately a good weekend. Got my 2nd and 3rd sessions for this winter

Was very edgie on Sunday tho as I had to take my daughter into the city at noon and the wind was in from early AM and looking very consistent. Made the call to head south after dropping her off and scored some very clean lines although I almost became another statistic of buckets

Thanks to the local crew who resuced my board. I was able to walk away with only a minor battle scar on it. Jumped straight back on the horse and managed to pick off some big bombs at the pit!

Kited till late and arrived home to a spa heated to 38 and an icy cold beer

Gotta love these late winter southeries...

STW - red Nanno 9m (or Nanna as Slack the long distance swimmer calls it then again he is a Monkey boy these days. Were you on a Cab or DNA STW?

Not super smoov conditions but a memorable sesh for sure. That and a sh!t hot jazz gig mid-week probably stopped me choking the leaving cr@p outta a couple of 'special' colleagues this week.

More wind please?

Just loove that dayglow green colour in the Sunlight

Watched you for 10 mins whilst I packed up. I had to come in from exhaustion after 6 hours on the water, plus some pillock on a donna and twinny come and fked it up.

I noticed your not tweaking like last year, seen you get a couple nice ones, was nearly tempted when the wind swung back to go again myself.

I have the red Nanno - er.. just like I said Have been in contact with a new Thruster convert this week and he has been keen to get the stubborn understains out after going for even a moderate boost!! When ice started to form on the LE and an oxygen mask dropped down he knew it was time to change the grundies!!

My yellow Nanno (7m) looks good but my red Nanno (9m) doesn't really do it for me (too Essendon for my liking ). The Nanno got short changed on looks compared to the Thruster and the Kima but the all-round style of kite suits me best I reckon.

Pretty bloody tempted by a 12m Thruster just the same. I like to jump baby. Just being able to sweet talk hot Euro/Brazilian chicks on the beach and say "Have you seen my Thruster?" is worth the price alone!!!

Why would having 3 kites you don't use be better than 2?

Oxygen mask - funny as but true - fek I was lookin for the emergency chute buckle just in case

The Thrusters definately got the hot colours n graphics.. your just gonna have to get one maybe this colour and book your 'Nasa' launch date..

Kadkhah - My friend has just got the 12 as above - but still wrapped in ribbons [:) I'll let him sleep with it first then Im sure he'll be more than happy to let you demo it. I'll send you a pm tomorrow

I have funny little true story about kite 'pullin power (chatup yarn)' at the park, i'll put in a separate topic.

Mate I am always in the sh!t - only the depth varies.

Has trully been full on at the salt mines lately. Zero chance of getting out this week and 50% next week.

Am keeping cool about it (er.. relatively anyhoo) cause I know in month's time it is game orn mole!! Sweet SWs so often, even I can get 2 seshs a week!

I will be very keen to get a 12m or maybe even 14m 'skid kid' (Thruster) happening for the 15-20 days. Need to save up for some reg grundies though.

Having a selection of new kites will be a unique experiance for me and a bit weird. Might even have to look at upgrading my 5yr old, 2nd hand, thrice repaired impact vest?

Air-time? I just want some water time 1st!

BTW where is me 4 yr old pump I left in ya car?
