Hi guys. I've been kiting recently probably too much (is that possible?) and unfortunatelly I've got a sore left elbow.

It's painful only when I kite, probabably pulling the bar a lot ... Has anyone experienced something like this and if so, do you know how to stop the pain, exercise or something!

Cheers.

Kani

Look up golfers or tennis elbow depending on which side of the elbow. Stretch and rest

Tennis Elbow it is , rest, ice the the elbow google stretching exercises you can do for it and streghthing exercises. You can also go to your doctor and get Nitro patches which you put on your elbow which will speed up the heeling process.

Also get a kite with lighter bar pressure.

Google is your friend, surfers elbow, tennis elbow, golfers elbow.
After the kite session keep an ice pack on your elbow for two beers.

Use your stopper from time to time if you have one.

That way you can relax your hands which I've found works well for my elbow.

This might sound funny but lay off the chicken. A mate of mine had a similar problem, went too a few docs nothing really worked.
I cant remember the guys name but he isnt a doc I dont think, anyway Roy went to this fella and got checked out. First thing the guy said to him , do you eat alot of chicken and Roy said yes about two or three times a week.
Roy dropped the chicken for a few months and bazinga no more elbow pain.

Just so you know Roy is 54 and fit as a mally bull plays golf off a 2 or 3 handicap and also does a bit of weight training.

Don't think I've seen this suggestion posted yet, but have you tried kiting with your hands centered on the bar? I had the same exact problem you have before because I used to kite with my hands close to the bar ends. As soon as I started to kite with both hands close to the centre, problem gone!
