Nice filming,ultra smooth.
Hows the crowd in the line up.
You go for a surf for enjoyment and de-stress,
you would come in after a session out there and want to snott someone.

That guy is going to make a fortune. Some of those waves were from the perfect angle. Glad I don't surf in Byron.

Does he just watch it from where he stands, or can he see through the eyes of the chopper?

Not overly sure, but if you look at his rainforest video he is sitting with a laptop, helicopter remote control and wearing virtual reality glasses.

I would guess, by the tracking of the surfers, that he has a live view from the camera and is using that to pilot the copter.

That's over the dunes from my place...... yes, there was a bit of snotting going on, but surprisingly most were just stoked because the waves were so good. It had been pumping, well over 100 in the line up on one of the bigger days. Unfortunately school holidays, lennox gromfest, and a weekend all lined up. The crowd does look worse with tha aerial angle than it seemed to me. Luckily, you could still drift down to the beachies and get a stand up barrell to de-stress. Makes you appreciate kiting though huh?

I have lots of RC planes and helis. I'd say he's flying through the camera view with a Virtual reality headset on or similar. Google FPV flying...... First person view.
Theres some Cool stuff out there.

I'd like to see some footage of some kiteloops filmed from high above with the kite in the shot, and some kitesurfing barrels, That would be cool.

Those copter pics are awesome but having an angry (and dangerous if it stacked into yo) buzz box in the vicinity would pizz me right off.

Those large copters are kn powerful and I imagine could go afair way to seperating your melon from the rest of your hastily bleeding out corpse.

Pain in the freckle for those attempting to enjoy the sport. Awesome for those wanting to watch the sport.
