It never ceases to amaze me that with the forecast wind it always gives hope, 7 days out, and by the time the day comes, it is red arrows everywhere.
I issue the challenge to forum heirachy to just put red arrows all the time, so as not to get our hopes up!
And don't say...."it's just an indicator of what might happen" as a lame excuse....as we all know it won't happen and we can not surely base our kiting travels or holidays based on the inaccurate falsehood of the graphs.
Nuff Said...
I'm having a bash at the cabin next weekend forcast looks good all invited.
lucky you placed the "gl" in front of the "glass" word there guys as i would have agreed with you otherwise....As I just farted in your general direction.
As my ass is half empty now.
you are conveniently forgetting the other half of the time when there is no wind forecast but then you score a bonus, unexpected session.
has happened 3 times for me this week
i'm
just saying that we may as well ellicit the postulations of a psycic as to place our hope in a falsehood.
Agreed with you stabber, the graphs lie, esp. in winter.........sometimes just going and looking for wind can be fun...cheer up, it is ok.
You are right Stabber, seebreeze forecast is not accurate , not for me in VIC ,
have to notice bom forecast is not accurate either. I usually rely on knowing local conditions and on what I can see from the window - that's the advantage of living close to the water I guess
.
I find the seabreeze forecast extremely accurate for about 3 days in advance, then it's more of a grey area, but that is the nature of weather forcasting. If you don't think seabreeze is good enough perhaps you can learn to read the charts and figure it out for yourself, I have been trying to learn this and it really gives you a much better understanding of what conditions produce wind, something all wind addicts would benefit from knowing. It also gives me more respect for the forecasting pros.
Check out the perth forecast for this week. And we probably WILL get our forecast winds too...
Every day this week...
Gonna be sweet.
Sometimes you have to head to the beach and check it out, can get lucky with the timing and jag a session.
Happened on Saturday, wind went from 12kts to 19kts on a NE'r and had a good 2hrs on the river.
Great way to start the day.
Looking a SB this week I don't think we're going to miss out.![]()

If it's not windy you should go and plug chicks, Sydney is about 70% female, it's like shooting fish in a barrell!
sounds like more hands on than actual shooting![]()
