what is the best kite that you have ever tried and what for like for example
the 2009 hadlow pro for freestyle because...
Watchit - the spelling and grammar nazis will get ya!
It's "what's the best kite you have rided on", not "rode on". ![]()
best kit i ever ridded is 2010 rrd obsession 12m, easy forgiving big busts if you went, greet from 14-23knts, any ridin, want to progress to waves hence the obssssession
Loved it so much bought a 9m too, different animal though, damn quack, have to be switched on, intermediate and up kite
dont let the spelling nerds hijack your post mate
Wipica classic 5.5m it kicked my arse more times than any other kite.
P.S. I'll bite on the BWS has it got one pump
Is BWS another Ben wilson thing? I don't get it....
Actually - I change my mind... Best kite I've flown was my very first kite - 2002 Slingshot Fuel... Not much can beat your first kite for fun factor...
I have been kiting for - well almost since the begining in Australia and am just an average kiter on flat and surf - just now progressing into surfboards in moderate surf.
Kites have included; Slingshot, North, Globe Rider, Best and more. I kite an average of 3 times per week and up grade to new kites every year
Most kites now are good just depends on the individual and what motivates them.
These days I ride Griffin Argo Kites (declaration - I am now a strong supporter of Griffin) as I enjoy waves more and more on a surf board and would recommend these kites to anyone wanting to get more from wave riding including down the line.
Yeh apparently the Team is pretty much an 05 so I guess they do still keep banging em out!
Surprised the Team isn't more like the Yargo Pro but if given the choice I'd be making the stock standard 05 like I had (still have - couldn't bring myself to sell it
).
Only thing I didn't like was pumping up 7 seperate struts (incl tips) then LE. Small price to pay for a sweet kite though.![]()

RE: Sorry for going off topic, but that made me kinda curious..
I used to think NSW is not the best region for kiting? (Compared to Melbourne)
Reply: I could say its because I ride Griffin Kites but.... I have a very flexible life so can go almost when ever the wind blows. Here we can kite in surf in SW around via E to N winds and flat water SSW via W to N in several different locations. eg as we all know this time of the year is not good with this year being as bad as it gets however in the last 2 weeks I have kited in good surf in SW and SE wind so once per week at the moment. In the peak period we often kite 4 to 6 times per week sometimes more and occasionally if the body can cope twice on some days. My 3 times average per week was just a guess but would be close.
