Sounds like you didn't have the 6 knots of outgoing tide on the goldcoast. Still had fun hiding behind the banks

Its the same, except you get knee to overhead high ramps to boost off with no boats to dodge and it doesnt smell like mangroves...

I was there to and it was INDEEDY EPICKER (or just plain old 'indeed epic' for the political correct)
I did however manage to loose my Safety (Death) Leash, please refer to Lost and Found Section folks if any one happened along it by any chance.

Had to work. Will have to work tomorrow. I used to be able to take off early on windy days, if my work was done, but now I have to sit in my office and take up space till 5:30, whether I have any work or not (I'm almost always done by 2pm, at the latest).

The good news is that I have quit my job, and I only have one more week to go till I'm free. Save me some wind, Benny...

When i saw the title yesterday I didn't even bother reading as I assumed it would be more WA kiters gloating. After yesterday's 6knts and today's 6.5knts in Hervey Bay it's hard to believe you're just a few hours south.
At least someone's having fun.

Epic literally means "long poem about legendary heroes". I'm not sure about the poem bit, but "legendary heroes" would certainly describe how many kiters see themselves

i'd say yes, except if it is, it'd be spelt 'epic-er' definately a hyphen needed there.

Another let down today. Got down to shearwater no wind and watched the southerly change come down the broadwater just after I turned up.
Even more disappointed I left my 8m at home.

Ah, I was the youngish fella who rocked up from out of town around 2.30, you weren't on the 2012? If so I was talking to you all arvo and didn't even ask your name, my bad!

Overpowered on your 10! I can't even contemplate dreaming about that until we get that high coming up the coast!
