Hey,
I'm thinking about making my way out of perth from friday to tuesday and wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I'd like to be able to get my 9m out daily but I doubt there will be enough wind around anywhere.
I was thinking either Geraldton, Lancelin, Cervantes, Jurien Bay, Augusta, Albany or Esperence. Fellow kitters are welcomed to tag along.
Haha getfunky I'll be sure to be careful when I cross that path. No brown acid. understood.
Rotto camp sites are all booked up :(
Yeah, gero is looking REALLY good for the weekend. Would be worth the 5 hour drive for those conditions. Fingers crossed the report keeps looking this good. Everywhere else seems to be good for Thursday but drops off after that.
Apathetic I might see you at wedge if the winds show up, it was awesome last time I went by there, the shack town was something out of a movie.
friends of mine used to go camping in the victorian NE forests hunting for
at easter
maybe they gro in he sw forests of wa at easter too if that's any help
all over Gero, well worth it for a pertfect cross off, 3m swell chunky slab, anyway about time i jump started the local's with some re-education ![]()
Book somewhere to stay before you book the air ticket. Last Easter was nuts, I couldn't get a campsite, or a campervan, or a motel/hotel for less than $300 anywhere within 5 hours of Perth.
Thanks for the advice, I'm local to perth so no worries about flying but i was thinking I could just rock up to a camp park. Hmmm.
Swell was absolutely going off at horrocks today... Big booming sets slicing down the reef making the sand dunes rumble.
Easter is a really popular time in the Midwest... Its cooled off, but still warm. Try calling the Geraldton tourist bureau, they will have a pretty good idea of what's available.
Try horrocks beachside cottages, they might still have vacancies...
Good luck
Oh no! Gero forecast just collapsed for Easter ... No wind now. Looks like surfing, chocolate and watching chick flics with daughters....
Ah, disappointing. We'll see how it plays out over the next few days. Cape Leuwin and Naturalist are 20+ knots all day. Hmmph.
Does anyone have any experience with cape naturaliste area? From what i read dunsburough can be quite fickle.
