I hadn't seen that before either. That has got to be the first convincing ultra light wind video I have seen. Not the normal dubious claims with a video of a jockey riding really close to shore with whitecaps further out in offshore wind... Nice!

thats awesome.nearly as good as just after mowing the lawn in spring and a sprinkle of rain then sitting back and just watching it grow.cant wait for next spring. gotta feeling its going to be perfect.

Might be a dumb Quest but is it just the ram air kites that make it possible to use in such light wind?

They're lighter in the air and they produce more power per square meter because they are flatter. They also have a 21m which would be incomparable to anything you'd find in a LEI.
