Great edit, cool tuneage, and check the riding: it has some really unusual hits compared to the same-old vids of today. Sort of a comp of a bunch of riders doing some very different riding.
That handlplant onto a kicker, kiteloop off (at 04:47) - siiiicccckkkkk.
Smooth strapless air and transitions.
And the huge Aaron Hadlow slider jump to press landing is mega critical (at 3:32) - haven't seen anyone do that on a slider. You wreck, you break some bones.
Gapping over sliders isn't hard, Holding a press and spinning slowly along the length of the rail for example is something that is a lot harder. By gapping a rail you are cutting out over half the length you now don't need to slide making setting up and comming off the very end of the rail a lot easier. Having to factor in the amount of grip you will get along the entire length of the rail especially when pressing (pressing harder and softer will change this) is not an easy task.
Also as far as rails and funbox's go that one isn't actually that big. The up and down is also to steep.
p.s. What is a blind back hintenberger?
where are u getting these crazy names from? a hintenburger is a reverse spun S bend. as in u do a ful laid out railey then spin a super laid out backroll. that was a backroll from blind...
60ft = ~18m, core rails were 20+. gapping the flat of an aframe isnt hard, go to cable and try it. on a kite when you F up you just get pulled off down wind but yer there is significant risks involved trying stuff like that. once again dont take wat i said badly, it was a sick hit he made, i just saying hes not the first / only one in kiting that can or have done that.
Yea, I f'd up on the hinteRburger - that shot IS a blind broll, and it looks trippy and powered from that angle.
Charl DV - I didn't take it bad on your comment about gapping isn't hard. I was just reacting because I saw that Nate Appel "Work in Progess" DVD the other day and it features riding on that Airrush box with all these pros hitting it in Hood River. Only guy that gapped was AH.
And I hear you Sir on the h-passing front or back press being hard to do. Like the one that Morris does in the vid at 3:11. (Kforum has a list of the riders from this vid here: kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2362757&p=640369 )
I just think that is a gnarly looking slider...lots of sharp edges. That big Cancer box from the TripleS I've seen in vids looks smoooth as silk.
