Hi,

I notice after an ~hour of riding my kite becomes deflated. I believe the source is my valve. Depending on the position of the fabric in between the plastic the valve will leak out air, I can hear it sometime after I pump

up. Has anyone else had this issue? have you found a solution?

Thanks
Dan.

if you look at your inflate valve stopper it has a raised section to give a seal, this can become worn if its an older or well used kite just get a new one, it pushes out through the velcro tab and insert a new one , most brands fit, if it still leaks mix a bit of detergent and water and massage around the area to find the leak, if its a valve ( ie coming away from bladder) dr tuba or u stick valves are the go, a good tip is to always after a session pull out your stoppers as they stretch the valves, if its all to hard for you send it to moti levy kite repair or your local shop, i prefer to renew my bladder cheaper than you think, good luck

Yeap,
My Rev outlet valve leaks air.
Nope,
I haven't found a solution short of sending it for replacement.
Maybe, build up the male part 'ridge' or the receiver part with silicone?

The problem is caused usually from leaving the inflate plug in place for long periods of time. As mentioned above, take the plug out at the same time you deflate the kite and this will avoid the issue at all.

As for a quick fix, try this :

-boil the jug, and fill a bowl up with some boiling water.
-dip the valve stem only into the boiling water for about 30 seconds
-grab some zip ties and zip tie around the valve stem tightly
-leave zip tied over night and remove the zip ties the next day.

IMPORTANT: when you dip the valve stem into water, make sure you do not submerse the entire valve and bladder, this will separate the valve from the bladder and then your more stuffed.

This process will restore the opening size so that the plug fits back in nice and tight.
Happy days!!
Joe
