To any female WA kiters we have a group which has been going strong for many years
www.facebook.com/groups/wackwack/
We organise events such as local kiting, road trips and general eat drink festivities.
Always keen for new members.
We don't really post on seabreeze much as it doesnt seem to get much response
cheers
Or you could join in and help with the Main WAKSA organisation.
Do you have insurance to run events?
f'in hell no wonder you dont bother posting on SB
keep at it little o good to see you still plugging away and getting the chicks out kiting
inthezone(withoutacromozone) respect your peers, know your facts before u have a stab at someone
We all know that the gender imbalance in kite surfing is overwhelmingly out of balance - I don't know the specific %ages but looking at many beaches around Perth, I don't think it would be too far off an 80:20 split, men:women.
Encouraging women kiters to participate in the more formal structures of the sport (such as WAKSA events and the organisation itself) isn't necessarily a negative comment - given the approximate 80:20 split, surely encouraging more women into kiting, in any way, or by offering assistance, is surely a good thing...??![]()
