firstly if you havent already check here: http://www.cabrinhakites.com/wind-range-chart.html
From riding the 09 cab IDS 12m i have taken it to about 23-25 knots and i am around 65kgs (fully depowerd)
For someone around 94kgs i would say the 12m would take you from 18 to 25 knots with ease.
One question, what are the average wind speeds in SA?
Adelaide winds like anywhere vary heaps with the season.....winter has seen stonking northerlies and now hopefully summer will deliver our gentler seabreezes...
My 09 had me out in up to 35knots but I wont say it was comfortable.....100kg rider up and planing at about 15-18 knots...
waxman currently on a 137 naish haze but looking to upgrade to a 133 cabrinha
i have also looked at cabrinha wind range but that is set for 75kg riders not us big
blokes
i'm 110kg and was riding 2006 152 underground and 2010 12m sb at kurnell in 15/16kn ne the other day. no probs getting around and getting upwind was no difficulty. its a nice kite. for me 20 to 30 would be great wind on that kite.
I took 9m 2010 Switchblade for a spin in 14knts yday.
im 82kg and rode a 136cm board.
i got going upwind while most others we struggling on 12m kites.
amazing light-wind perfomrance, I could not stall the kite.
very impressed!
