That behaviour is almost as irresponsible as having a dog off the lead at the Tombstones' carpark.
Sorry Matty........that English bloke you were with at Gnaraloo is a TWAT!!!
WE knew we were signing up for a crash at some stage!
yeah - he was a bit emotional as the dog was chasing a goat around the back of the carpark - (the camp signs said any dog seen harrassing wildlife would be shot) and the whole circus ran out in front of a car.. dont know if you saw it - and he was there a few years back when someone's labrador died from eating poison baits - it wasnt the best scene
no hard feelings though - he is a dog lover at heart and just wants what is best for them.
He should realise then how tormented any dog chained up would feel there.....esp given it is one of the few spots dogs can actually have a roam around ..........and also how much owners like me give a toss what whinging Poms think about my business esp when i am on hols.
You sailed well up there though.....and i had a great time up there as i do every year......whinging Pom or not.
Im amazed that he didnt see ya bearing down on him and instead of tryin to avoid it he pulls a backloop wow! . Maybe he was more focused on hitting the wave. I think he first saw ya at 0.21 ![]()
they both took off at exact same time
waves are for waveriding or boosting off tho so i would be a bit pissed if i was teh windsurfer - but you know, not a huge drama... just chill and learn from it
I was there guys.........The kiter was filming the windsurfer, they didn't mean to crash.
It has been posted because it is radical, rather than trying to apportion blame or anything.
It is simply a watch and enjoy vid.
The fact that Matty (the poley in the clip) was with a whinging Pom at the secret G spot is really another topic.....and the fact that i keep posting is simply so i can call that bloke a whinging Pom is because i enjoy typing "whinging Pom" as every Aussie should.
just to clarify - we were on a filming mission and we both understood that there was a chance we were going to collide mid air - the idea was to get a high pass from the kitesurfer's view of the loop - we just timed it badly. If the kitecam rider hadnt clipped the lip on takeoff i daresay we would have pulled this one off.
There was never any bad intention on either of our parts - be both kite and windsurf and knew we were doing something a little tricky to try and get a cool looking shot.
A typical example of Seabreeze forum behaviour.. put the blame on before thinking..
You guys need to chill - this is an swesome piece of filming no mater how you look at it. The guys obviously had fun at it. Who gives a damn who's "fault" it was.. the point was completely missed..![]()
I am not surprised why people are 'afraid' to post their work here, or even comment positively on other's efforts. As soon as there is a chance to start a fight .. someone does it. No matter there wasn't a reason for it.
READ the post guys.. then go and grab a chilled one.
Peace man..
And great work on the cameras..

Actually what is typical seabreeze behaviour is having a collection of the most thin skinnned and sensitive princesses in one location.
Read the post hey. Explain where in "this was always going to end in tears.." it explains they were in this together.
**Edit - figured these words would only cause more tears for some**
Anyway, the fact that the kiter and windsurfer were filming together as explained later by Reflex Films changes the entire circumstances. I took it that it was just a dude kiting with a POV camera who had a crash, hence my comments. If you two were out filming each other and this was the result then hey, bit of bad luck.
P.S. Red thumb away ladies.
Awesome footage Matt
love the different angles you are getting.
If you see me around this summer I still have the jetski happy to run around in the waves with you on the back if you want. Will PM you.
awesome!
Ripping it apart Matt.
what camera was used?
I have been checking out the Go Pro for this sort of stuff.
Those shots were the average shots - i am saving the gold for the final dvd production - Ben did a really good job filming and kite flying at the same time.
The footage was shot off a vio pov1 - mounted to a helmet - the Go PRO hero looks like it could be cool - although maybe a tad too wide - which can really make the waves look small.
Already the 110 degree lens used in the VIO flattens waves out - so a 170 degree angle would potentially make jaws look like a head high wave..
Oh no, I have been told off by Kiwi now!!! First the Whinging POM now a Sheep Shagger!!!!!!!!!!
Obvioulsy sticking up for his girlfriends at Gnaraloo station.
It's OK mate, my dog didn't chase your sweetie-pie!
And to top it all off.............. ladies and gentlement enter the South African!!!!!!!!

The United Nations of plonkers.
Any other countries want to join.
Reli, you don't stop to amaze me........love that clip.
Hey Wal, no matter what one says on this site lately, or the beach for that matter ........little ol Perth and this sport is being overrun by da "me too crowd," and so many of them haven't got a clue. Lots of aggressive types with little manners and/or blow ins who are just too dumb to realize that they are in another culture.
