Hi all,

I have recently purchased 2 kites from WA and need to get them over to the East Coast Northern NSW.
Can anyone suggest the best way to get them here, I have looked on Australia post and another E-go.com courier site but not sure about either.

Can anyone who has sent them across the country before suggest which is better courier or post and which is not going to cost me an arm and a leg.

Cheers
Brody

Pump them up, wait for a strong onshore and throw them up in the air.....

Get insurance! Only $100 cover through Aussie Post.
Ego parcels get put in a low priority basket (basically truck fillers). So sometimes it will take a while to arrive, sometimes there as quick as any other.

if the wind is like it was yesterday you can boost most of the way then get a taxi for the rest.

I shipped a board coast to coast with TNT for under $40 so they might be worth a go.

Ask your local kite shop. They seem so send stuff all over the country with no hassles. Might be worth a shot.

Hi Brody.

I have sent quite a few over to the east and have also recieved a few. Probably 8-10 over the years. Have always sent with aus post (registered) and havnt had any probs. Should cost no more than $40 a kite.

As long as you get insurance, which only cost a few dollars more, Aus Post is really easy and reliable. Last kite cost $43 inc insurance from WA to QLD.

or give to wishy, let him kite at esperance, he'll ditch the kite within 5 minutes and the currents will take care of the rest, 5/7 days I reckon

Im keen for a massive downwinder,,
the kite might be "only flowen once,(for thousands of miles)and still crispy" ,by the time it gets there.

Defenitely not the company fastway.
It took them 3 weeks to send some bidings from Brissie to Perth
They are not reactive at all...and This is not me trolling hey!

But Australia post was pretty good.
The best I ever came across was fedex for iternational parcels. one week to get a kite from France to Perth... Hallelujah!

I bought a kite from a guy in Melbourne the other week. we decided to use Australia Post. Cash on Delivery. It cost him $8.50 to send it and me $11 to pick it up. So there is no risk of someone doing the dirty on ya. Was awesome
