Cruised past Wanda Beach today whilst on way to work ( yep still stuck in Sydney ) but at least I can look forward to going home to Goldie for the Summer ... unlike the poor Sydneysiders who are stuck with BS wind and even more BS traffic ) and saw stacks of kites..... Whats the go ...anyone ??
What are you actually asking? Wanda is awesome for a kite. Not suprised people were out kiting. From what I've sampled of the Goldie it's no kiting mecca
Sorry Scoop ... I re-read my post...I wasn't clear with my question...they weren't kitesurfing kites...they were one liners etc.. I have since found out that it was a kite festival they hold at the beach regularly. The wind at Wanda Beach was westerly today so no good for us blokes but the little kids looked like they were having a ball.
As far as your Goldie comments...quite true mate...it not as great as one would expect...but it is home....and grass is cheap

Sutherland Shire - Festival of Flight.
We were there it was awesomely smooth light strong NW, W, SW, S, SE and NW and W with awesome storms and hail ending in smoothish W winds with warm sunshine.
Lots of happy kids though, they didn't seem to care too much.
I ended up flying a Bob Dawson D-Wing with a humungous black and white tail for a few hours and said some excellent goodbyes to Bob in the process, just as he would have expected!
