Hi Guys,

I'k hooked on KBing and I've been trucking along nicely now for a few months on 2007 model Airush Vapor 12 metre and 7 metre. I am well established upwind and am looking to possibly buy a new 2013 model 10 metre Cab switch blade.

I have seen the locked topics on buying O/S vs. locally, this is NOT one of those topics, in short I can't do local retail as I do not have the money but I would like the new gear nevertheless.

Can anyone give me the name of your discount dealer whether it be OS or here as I would like a new kite? I would consider other equivalents also but I have seen how much the new technology has improved.

Cheers, Kookhat.

Mmmm, me sees many red thumbs your way are comming!

Kook, support local, have a look in the "buy&sell" section and take someones 2nd hand kite so they can then support a local shop with a new kite purchase.

I couldn't afford a new purchase either and bought a great condition 2010 Switchy. When comming from 2007 kites, the upgrade will be HUGE and you'll be very happy with your purchase.

Hi, I have recent experience with buying online- due to no local option not because of price. Literally last week a local store got some kites in and I will definitely be buying from them!
But if you must kite power in the U.S, and king of watersports UK? good package deals on last years models but nothing exceptional and if it looks too good to be true it is!

There is an online store in Indonesia that will be more than happy to help you.

Just google them.

I stumbled across a sweet deal on my lastest kite on an overseas website but I was reluctant as I wanted to buy local, through a friend I was put in contact with a local shop that wanted to try and match the price. they couldn't quite come down that far but the effort and amount they were willing to try and match went a long way. It was a win win, the shop got the sale and I got a new kite at a sweet price from somewhere local. And when I have the coin for a 7 metre they will get the first call.

If you find a sweet price O/S at least give your local shop a chance to compete, they might show you the door or they might surprise you.

Thanks for the Legitimate responses, I went with a mob in the States after all, in fact a guy that is advertising New switch blades for sale on here. Very quick and no payment was required until delivery was made. Received it today, haven't used it yet but looks very shiny and new!

Saved around $500 on local retail. Gotta be happy with that.

And Benny B12 I am a different babe ;-)

Unfortunately for you nobody pays retail, you could have got one for the same price if you cared to build a relationship with a local dealer. No local shop will touch you if and when you have a warranty problem. No wonder this country is going broke.

This is not the post/language of a guy new to the forum & talking about staying upwind. Must have a new cabrinha 10m.... what a load of crap. Bull**** to buying out of the states, not paying and receiving it 3 days later. Come clean kookhat, what's your angle? Scammer, shop police...You've been busted.

Wow people. Calm down and step back. There is a gentleman on this website in fact selling new kites who agreed to send it without payment until I had received it, as understandably, I was not keen to pay for it and wait for delivery. It was precisely because of this that after waiting for 10 days for it to arrive I assumed it was possibly too good to be true.

At that point in time I started enquiring about who else might sell kites overseas while still giving said seller an opportunity to come through with the goods.

Surprise Surprise a few days later the FedEx truck pulled up out the front with said kite. At which point I paid said seller the agreed sum immediately.

Trust me except for the fact that this guy said it would happen like it did, I was as surprised as anyone. Very trusting indeed.

Needless to say I do not wish to give his specific details away but you will not have to look to hard to see those that are currently selling brand new switch blades on this site. Look for yourself.

Why would I be interested in "winding up" everyone particularly if as is reported the same deal can be obtained from a local dealer if I "build a relationship" I was just interested in what I believe to be a great deal and I got one. Maybe not the deal of the century as I am fully aware that warranty may well be a concern in future but I am happy nevertheless. Not everything on the internet is in fact a wind up people, I have a life to lead.
