I had a carbon Victoria for nearly 8 years and it's still going strong, although only used it a few times behind a kite.
Well worth the price IMO

Maybe ordering from states will be cheaper

Jason at West Oz Boardsportz has got me in a Crazy Fly Skim that I'm getting for Xmas. I'm pretty sure he was getting another as well for stock so call him. They look like they will go great and I'm actually thinking of not just using it at the pond, but also in small surf in light days.

You can learn a lot from these boards and I reckon they are great alternative to all the "competitive boosting" that goes on.

Yep, i got the crazyfly skim for chrissy and used it straight away. I didnt bother with installing the fins and it is awsome. I even went ovr to Warnbro beach and tried it in the small beachy, but it will need the fins for this. Otherwise it went upwind great and we had a lot of laughs

As you have already got one I'm just going to post this for people who are interested but haven't yet made a purchase.

If you want a good skimboard, buy a skimboard... These guys know what they are doing. As mentioned above, people like Victoria and Exile make some seriously good skimboards and the larger models work really well behind a kite. I have a Carbon Exile that I take out for a bash every now and again and a kite skim doesn't even come close to how good this thing is.

Maybe Rich Stenning can give us some more info if he's still around??? He loves the things and I'm sure he's ridden most of them.

i just put skimboard in utube there is some great talant there but it must take them hours to clean the sand out of there undies as they all ride in shore dumpers ouch there balls bags must be as smooth as from all the sand rubbing in there.

Unfortunately Mark has dropped the Waterbird - temporarily I hope - I have one lonely Pelican sitting here but wouldnt be too keen on letting it go.
We need it for fun times out of our Mobile Demo van.

the cheap ply skim boards last about a half hour before they start loosing their shape when used with a kite. I have a North skim that you can put straps and fins on if you want it you can have it for $100 cos I will never use it(it's that bad). The airush skim boards were pretty good though so thats not for sale.
