yeah it will break it if you ride hard enough and will make your stacks hurt a hell of alot more

unless you're a 12 year old girl that board is way too small for boots

thanks for the input
hell yeah should be fun trying !!
great excuse to upgrade bit expensive though
65kg less than 3m jumps atm
heaps of stacks in close to shore
im at shearwater tide run is huge
i wanna not lose the board and stay away from the learners
and still try stuff out wide without fear of losing the board
i'll look for something else
any more thoughts

Have you tried gaffer tape or big rubber bands. They should keep you board on

I tried heel straps. Worst invention ever. I dunno if it was specifically the ones I got or what but riding with them was so terrible I removed them. For the 10% of time they actually stayed where theyre supposed to be they were uncomfortable.

wake boots are heavier then straps & pads, they are also shaped differently which puts different forces through the board. You can also put more force through the board (when loading it for a jump) because you are more connected with the board.

They are just some reasons

boots take up a lot of area and need a flat deck to sit on. if the board has a convex deck the base of the boots won't contact properly and you will put to much stress in a small area. it also means the boots will rock up and down a couple of mm, putting sideways stress on the inserts and damaging the threads or ripping them out altogether
does the bolt pattern on the board suit the boot plate?

Yeah since you got it, try it.
You'll find it harder to go upwind and you'll need alot more wind tho.

Try a wider strap like the new naish/cab or LF ones.

If all fails go back to learning the Eagle Claw
