Thumbs Up

Hi all,

Maybe this has been done before, but it would be pretty cool to have one thread describing the typical wind strength/direction/frequency for Australia's cities/towns/kiting locations (I can see all you WA folk rubbing your hands). I know you can look on windguru, BOM etc. But more descriptive would be nice. I'll start:-)

Sydney - Season Oct-Mar approximately. On average (very variable though) 2-3 North Easterly Seasbreezes a week , and 1 Southely/South-Easterly per week. Strength varies but an 8m/11m quiver covers most conditions for a 75kg kiter on a Twinny.

My limitied travel experience has showed this quite typical from about Foster until Jervis Bay, but perhaps people in those areas could correct me.

Tom
