There was a shaper up near Byron that was making bamboo boards with a hemp resin years ago they were tough as old nails. I suppose if you broke one though you could just light it up and pass it round.
I just had this one made, cant wait to try it out ,bamboo epoxy 3 layer 6oz top and bottom decks, with extra reinforcing around the foot area, should be a sweet ride.
Yep nice one ,could it be used as a surf board minus the straps and with a wax job
Yea mate am gonna set one up strapped and one strapless so i can use it as a surfboard as well, its a 5 fin config so can be setup as a quad or a thruster, lookin forward to trying them.![]()
My boards gonna be used 99% as a kiteboard but if i'm waiting for wind and the surfs up i'll give it a crack,it'll get me up so who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although if its not windy then i can grab a Sup instead.![]()
Yea i'd second that, most of the guys in my area use surfboards strapless not dedicated kitesurf boards, and theres some real talented riders around,if you want to ride strapped though your better off with a dedicated kitesurf board cos most strapped riders like to boost and its hard to get a surfboard thats strong enough.
