Hello everyone,
I just arrive to Australia (Sydney) and in a few days i will be in WA, looking forward to ride...![]()
I open the topic to get some information about the wave spots of WA.
My question is 1st how dodgy is for a experienced kite/wave rider to ride Margaret main break? When i say dodgy i mean with the other wave users...
And the same about the north meka spot of Gnaraloo...
Any further information about nice wave spots in WA, or any local rules will be very helpful.
Best 2 all,
if your riding marges main break and the wind drops come in at the river mouth and dont try to short cut back to the beach, had a very very close call there ![]()
Welcome. Ask when you get to the beach is probably the #1 rule. Other than that, if you get to a spot and there are a ton of surfers out, wait for the wind to blow them off and you're good. I've not seen Mainbreak in full form but Gnaraloo is a really heavy wave a long way from medical assistance. If you're up for it though, have a great time and take pics.
as long as your kiting is up to scratch you shouldn't have a problem up at gnar, if you turn up and its mast height hang around to see the sets! biiiiiig wave but very very fun![]()
What I want to know is why he got so many red thumbs for asking about local rules and about being out with other water users?????
You crew in WA always bang on about tourists not knowing local rules etc. but when one does the right thing and asks,,wanting local info, you red thumb him????????
You go on about touros need to show some respect,,,dosent seem to matter even if they do ,to some of the rednecks on here.
Hope when you guys head overseas kiteing, the locals treat you the same.![]()
