Ive been riding for 12 years, in WA of a kite trip, only get to do this once every two years on my own , so it's important your gear works.

Try beating this -

After leaving sling shot after 10 years of buying their gear due to a stupid reply I got off them trying to justify my kite turning green from white after colour run I flew a bandit 5 12m. The kite felt so good and so like the rpm I bought 3 and then bought 3 bandit 6's this year , although the bandit 6's were bought when on business in Hong Kong.
I had a Slight issue with one of the kites, no issue here, Matt from f one didn't even question buying the kite in Hong Kong he just wanted to help and is working on the issue with me. it's not a large issue so I won't go into detail but I got instant customer support , not 2 days later, not- “you didn't buy it from here see you later” INSTANT phone and e mail help and comms with f one head office, A1 service.

But it gets better , I noticed a slight issue with my board, I demanded a new one as I was on holiday in WA, I didn't have another board so I went to the local shop, get this - after explaining to f one and matt (the distributor) I was on holiday and it was blowing 25 knots and I was about to miss a day on the water if didn't get my board sorted I asked if I could exchange for another board the same in the local shop being - G spot xtream here is Geraldton run by Tim.
Although Matt from f one explained that it wasn't usual to replace the board and f one would send me a brand new board to Sydney to replace my existing one, he and Tim understood I was on holiday and going to miss out on some decent conditions so they worked together and straight away and solved the issue by supplying a brand new board from tims shop, which is simply amazing.
I must add the issues ive had have been the first with f one gear, this is a one off, their gear to date has been very well built and used extensively in some harsh conditions (maui 40 knots , cape town and WA)

So there you go, if you like good kit with amazing customer service just go to f one. I know people are suffering from delivery issues as they are high in demand and low in supply but know also know that matt will do everything he can to assist.

So if you're in WA ( geraldton) go to see Tim in g spot, and if you are sick of other brands offering no customer support internationally go to f one now.


While I'm at it I can't forget I had an issue with a bar on my mystic harness just before my trip, - kitepower in Sydney was the only shop in Sydney with a replacement , the bar was 14 months old, it snapped, no problem here , Matt that works for steve in kitepower replaced the bar in an instant then spent 30 minutes fitting an adjustment that makes wave riding so much better , so again if you are in Sydney and you want ongoing customer support that has always been A1 see steve and matt from kite power, their service has always been the best and that continues .

Ok that's enough thanks for one day , this community is small you have to stay with the brands that help and shop where you get the back up.

Matt is a real nice dude... I have never even owned an F One either!
And Kitepower Sydney is where I go for a reason, Steve is always willing to help.

Good service goes a loonnnnnnggggggg way, why don't more kiteshops understand this

Its like most shops, they are becoming in it only to make $$$, if ya need help these days look on line. Been to electrical shops lately? they dont know a thing about what they are selling except for what the pamphlet says. If I want that info I would read it myself.

I agree, some shops are like that. You buy from them and the aftersales support is worse than buying from a computer... But the good ones go above and beyond, sending out replacement parts for nothing, sending gear to demo/try before you buy, remember where you live and what kites you fly... You build a relationship with the good shops, and imo its a good thing.

I've found the same thing with moto shops, most dealers couldn't be fagged selling you something, but when you find one with good service its unreal. My KTM dealer even matches prices from o/s, which for an Aussie retailer is crazy!!!!

Just find yourself that shop, and give them your business.

I have also found the guys at Kitepower Sydney really helpful & have a great range of equipment. Spoke to Steve just yesterday re triming of my Ozone Kites. Didn't realise there is three settings for the length of the outside lines under the rubber above the bar. Wasn't happy with the performance of this kite. I found it was set on the longest setting, so I shortened them up. Used the kite this morning and what a difference. Thanks Steve!
