So ive had this suspected leak in my kite for a few months now, Ive pumped my kite up and sprayed for leaks and have left the kite inflated for upto 6 hours with no sign of a leak.
Went for a surf on monday, after 1 hour the kite became a sluggly mess. Went in and check kite and repumped up.
So ive just pumped it up again and been searching everywhere, valves, hoses.
Cant find it.
Is it time to pull LE out and have a closer look?![]()
If there is a leak you can always find it from outside before removing the bladder. It will be harder to find the leak once you remove the bladder anyways.
The key thing is to pump your kite very hard, overinflated in other words. Then you will find the tiniest leak 10 times easier with a spray bottle mixed with water and soap (decent amount of soap helps).
You can then grab a black permanent marker where the leak is and by leaving it long enough on the LE it will mark the bladder underneath as well making it easier to spot the leak once you remove the bladder.
Good luck ![]()
Found air comming out of main zipper on the LE,
Ended up filling my weedspraying pump full of soapy water and coating kite with bubbles.
Leak should hopefully be comming from close to the zip hopefully
Found the pin PRICK of a leave close to zipper.
I would have spent allday trying to find it if it wasnt close to zipper
Just hope to **** thats the end of that sarga
