this is the kind of seabreeze you expect in november , not august. I hope this is a sign of things to come this year. Looks like that new board I bought yesterday will get used sooner than I thought![]()
I know! Was sayin that myself today... Were did u get out? I got an early leave pass from work especially for it!
Some weather nerd will probably correct me, but that's a frontal NE'erly, not a thermal seabreeze.
Whatever it was, it didn't happen down here, bugger, but fingers crossed for the next one on Saturday. Blow huey, blow!
It was a seabreeze and it was very good and they do come from about now particularly around norah head and the central coast of NSW .it was trying in Newcastle and got in eventually (there was an inversion which was trapping the warm air not allowing the cooler air and thus the seabreeze to get in.Central coast = blessed and just up the road at newcastle = cursed .(this happens quite often unfortunately )
Mr float, and all out there.
I think the Northern Beaches in Sydney has to be one of the best examples out there. The amount of times Botany/Wanda has had a 20 knot NE'r and hear from friends they were waiting all day at Narrabeen......
Short Video from the first NE yesterday, Narrabeen/Longreef, was great but a little light ( no white caps ) wind died at 5pm.
it's amazing what difference a slightly cross offshore wind can do for perceptions (no white caps but there is indeed wind) ,cleaning up waves (see the tops of the waves blowing backwards off the wave )and also performance .the spot that we did a couple of trips to in Fiji this winter is just like that .Standing on the beach nnought ,out there very nice thankyou very much .You are lucky to have a spot like this . in fact where I rode yesterday was a bit like that too. (not quite as cross off as where Chris is)
to late the word is out lach how many knots was it? **** at home wind out back not in close nearly rang you to go
