Apparently Andy isn't world champ anymore. I find this disgraceful from a so called media publication. And don't try and tell me it was just a mistake with words, they of all people would know how choice of words affects readers perceptions.
It's fair to say that the Andy Yates, ikitesurf mag thing is taking on political dimensions now.
Stealth NLP techniques are used to discredit the champ and make him look like a kook. After reading a couple of ikitesurf mag issues, people would probably say "Andy Yates, isn't that the dude who can't even land backrolls?"
But why not create more hype around this.. Maybe they could battle it out in a boxing ring or at an armwrestling table. If it draws some media attention, this could create a win-win situation for the sport!
. The same thing that happened to a lot of other talented riders on the same day, he got knocked out in a super close heat between another talented kiter. Alex Pastor had one of his best heats of the event and took him out in a 3/2 spilt decision between the judges. If he had been against anyone else except for Pastor in that heat he probably would have won. Pastor went on to have a pretty average following heat and got taken out by Rondina who had a lot cleaner tricks.

Who really gives a fark about a stupid facebitch page, with a mis-quote, he is the bloody previous years world champ, or is he this years as well???
