Hi all!
I'm an Italian kiteboarder! I need infos about where better go kiting in Australia.

The period is December.

What about Queensland or Byron Bay? Is the wind strong enough for small kites?? 10/7

What about West Coast..Perth or southern??

Thank you!!!

Chiara

If you're on the east coast go to www.nswkba.com.au for maps of kiting locations in New South Wales.

If you weigh more than 70kg 12 and 7 m kites would be all you need in summer.

Byron's nice but there are restrictions on the main beach. See maps as mentioned above. The back beaches south of Byron and Lennox are great (good wind and small surf)

Have a great holiday in OZ

just like to point out that Chiara is a girls name, so in that case you may want to reconsider this advice, unless of course you don't want italian girls on Victorian beaches

A couple of hours south of Perth you've got Australind. Normally a pretty good spot with flat water. Theres always someone out if theres wind.

Hi!

Come to Perth - your 7 & 10m will be perfect. It consistently blows around 20 knots (&normally stronger) on a good summer's day.

There is quite a lot of sight-seeing places/good accomodation/things to do throughout Perth...so you are bound to get the best of everything.

Chiara,

If you only want to come to Australia for kitesurfing, then WA is the place to go to in the summer.

However, Australia is a BIG place - It takes 3 days to drive from Perth to Sydney. Italy in comparison is tiny. You are going to love the beaches though - lots of space and no beach clubs!

Your 10 and 7m kites will be perfect for WA.
