Regarding kite care it is a good idea when deflating struts (with flap/membrane return valves) using the plastic prodder sewn onto the end of the velcro closure, to be careful when doing so. The thin non return membrane is easily damaged with the hard plastic prodder within a relatively short period of time and results in the valve not sealing and much frustration when trying to get correct pressure in struts (especially wingtip) 
In my opinion (after 10 years of professional kite repairing) a good squeeze of the lower section of the valve is a safer method of deflating struts and if you do use the prodder - do so with care.

Any tips on caring for your kite. I haven't used mine for about 3 months & I may not be using some of them for at another 3 months. I've been thinking about keeping them in the freezer to keep them fresh. At the moment they've been kept in the garage, but I worried they'll fall apart when wind and free time eventually arrive.
