On the northern beaches of Sydney at least ,Home and away used to have regular shots (and references To) of kitesurfers during beach shots but for the last 5 years of La Nina (and lousy wind)there hasn.t been any . I remember a great event at Palmy years ago but nothing since (does anyone know what the fate of the ruby chracter is . The character seems doomed).apparently the cuurent doomed marina theme was originally mooted as a kitesurf resort but they had a change of heart.Yhe diner and the surf club had photos of kitesurfers doing massive big airs,board offs and gayleys but they seem to have been taken down.
The Abc has a show that had a kitesurfer as a character who has now been written out apperntly
Yeah, I think the australian public are tired of seeing gay sports in tv shows.
You dont see kiters on home and away any more cause Alf got the sh!ts with the mongrel bloody kiters kiteing near the surf club. Stone the flammen crows.
