Hi

I have a few euro mates that have heard that they are unwelcome in WA and that the wind is crap ATM and everything else is a rip off there .I suggested Tazzie as a wicked uncrowdeed and unhyped spot with some epic spots and epic breaks and reliable wind.Sugesstions PLZ (they were wondering about Mt Wellington as it is a spot on the seabreeze wind graphs .Is it a good flatwater spot in the mountains ?they said it seems to get plenty of wind )

No idea but I'd like to invite them over to WA. Don't feel unwelcome because of some people here on seabreeze. It is total bullsh!te. And check the graph for perth:

Not so bad at all! seabreeze will kick back in. And I love Perth! nice city, beautifull river, nice beaches and more!

Hi Lach, if you want flat water and wind go to Stanley, nw tas.
Waves, west or east coast, take your pick.
Mt Wellington, I don't reckon, the anemometer is on a 80m mast or something and it's a rocky wasteland.
Bruny island is the go down south.
Plenty or euros come thru tassie kiting, at least ten a year, your all welcome.
Cheers

Gotta take my hat off to tassie kiters. Last time I was in Stanley it was 6 degrees, and that was in January! But the wind has to be the most consistant wind I've come across. It was maybe 10 years ago and I wasn't kiting then otherwise I'd have been tempted to buy a big thick wetty and have a go. Mind you, spoke to some abalone divers at the time who had quite a few close encounter tales to tell. Hmmm... maybe light wind QLD kiting is the go after-all

Well, I think anywhere's got to be better than Newcastle right now. "chance of showers" has been etched into my brain. It's like an endless record going round & round in my head. BOM says summer's stuffed on the East coast, only Tas likely for less than av rainfall.
Have you ever wanted to be a duck? I wonder if they're happier than usual. From my observations they seem to have a very even temperament.
