Its a pretty twisty road to kite along mate!
If you don't take it, there will be plenty of wind and opportunity to use your gear. If you do, you will be angry because there is no wind and no opportunity. So you're screwed either way.
I wouldn't bother mate, it's not really worth it. The victorian coast constantly blows all over the place 5 - 30. Very few launching areas, and lots of kite eating sharp reefs.
When you get up the Torquay end of things there are a few spots. Or you can get around the corner to Ocean Grove.
But Portland end is lots of cliffs from my memory. Apollo Bay might be OK. Same as Lorne, but probably too busy on the beach around Xmas.
Hey Daz
ya need to update ya profile .not sure how Kath would take the "chasing girls" as things you like to do and photo with the pit girls photo.![]()
If you re willing to go to Robe, little bit further, I reckon long beach is really good.
Personally I also think Robe is the best spot on the coast between Adelaide and Melb.

Hey Daz
It doesnt matter what we all think because Kath will have the final word.![]()
But do the GOR in first week then head back up the coast second week, better trip than Hume.
it seems like you all need to put a mirror at the end of your beds & wake up to yourself !!! ;-)
will change profile now.cheers lach & craig !!!
sounds like i will have to piss on a few tree`s as the natives seem to mark there teritory !!!!
i`ll be the one having fun, not worrying who`s on my patch of water ;-)
