kiting at straddie

heading up to north stradbroke island for a few days next week.
anyone know what the kiting is like? or should i just take the surfboards?

Looking at the forecast SE later in the week you'll be most likely kiting on the East coast beach. Had some fantastic downwinders along there. Surfboard might be the option for the first few days of the week though. Yes there has been plenty of sharks sighted at Straddie. Use common sense.

If a nice NE blows in try Flinders but don't drop everything in the drink and get pushed by the current around the point to Amity.
