yeah your right milko,I was up there a few weeks back and all the kiteing crew were wearing speedos or g-strings, and if some stomped a good mobe they would all go over and pat him on the ass.Very friendly crew up there

Bring a full wettie mate,it will protect you from the cold and protect you from the likes of lotofwind!!
Wind is a bit on/off at the moment, we just had about 3-4 good days of wind in the past 4 weeks. Cross your fingers and hope for the best.

ricko, i was in cottontree last week and ended up driving to caloundra to kite in a westerly wind. the sunny coast has several kiting spots from caloundra up to noosa but at this time of year, some days will be spent just having a few beers, mate!

hey MG.. that last day you were here i took my 9 out at Birubi in 35 knot x offshore. i didn't bother bringing those undies home.. but the day after that the wind finally turned SW and we had some really good days. but the swell was HUGE.. last week we had some awesome sou east winds and some pretty fun swell.. this week looks good to.. I don't know why i am bothering going to Fiji.. we are getting heaps of wind right here catch up next time mate

Luke, thanks for letting me try the new Nomad the other day at Caloundra. It was my first time there and it's a epic spot! I'm in the market for a new kite, so I am seriously considering a switch to a Cab kite. I was very impressed by the smooth power, and am now down on the Gold Coast, and have been lucky to get a couple of good days on the Broadwater not to mention a surfing session in glassy conditions at Kirra point in 6ft+ waves! It's going to be hard to go home to a wintry SA.

Ben, those were some sick conditions, mate! I must admit that I do glance at the graph for Mid-North NSW everytime I open seabreeze and curse when I see all them green arrows. I'd rather be freezing my nuts off kitesurfing than be warm and not kiting at all. As Arnold said in the Terminator movie: "I'll be back!" See ya soon and have fun in Fiji.

Luke, sorry I wasn't able to stop and have a chat, mate. I was having too much fun at your local spot. We arrived middle of the arvo and kited until the wind dropped as sunset approached. Yes, I do like the Switchy a lot. Catch up with ya next time I go South again.

I'll be up at the goldie in a couple of weeks. Where abouts on the broadwater do you kite? are their any rules /do's and don'ts for that busy waterway?
