just wondering if there is a knot that could temporarily replace the job of pig-tales.... it gonna go off tomorrow and was hoping to go out . am i kidding myself and do i just need to get them fixed ?

nah not kid your self just do a double loop knot tie it any way you can, some granny knots gust make sure you do double dont want any to come undone keep an eye on your legths dont want different on one side to other or front to back could get interesting if you get it wrong . Have done this myself once cause of same reason you have, got me out there didnt boost to hard though chicken out .
7 cm is a huge difference. The kite will fly incorrectly with that much difference. Take your time and get all the lengths right and save yourself the drama later because you were too excited to get out.
Ok for the skipper a figure eight knot with loop is all you need google knots and just a couple of figure eights (you know the first part of tieing your shoe lace) is for pig tail ends . It is not rocket science . 7 cm is massave the kite will fly stupid with that much may be 2 cm max difference even that will be noticeable. if you cant get it use some more rope to make them right or shoe lace sounds really unsafe and it proberly is ,but you do what you can for a run like i said before LITTLE if not no boosts as any extra knots are a week piont .
