Had a great day today on the water! it was my first venture out there without my instructor and I managed to get up on the board and stay there!!! . . . . . well, for a short time anyways 
Anyways after I had packed my gear up and dried off, I moved my car to face the water so I could watch the other guys who were going off! just the usual watch and learn and hope that one day ill be doing the same lol.
Anyways ladies and gentlemen, this is were the application of a handbrake comes in real handy! 
So here i am watching and learning when I see a bloke looking around to land his kite. But noone is helping him so I do the righty and jump out to see if he wants a hand. So ive secured his kite when I turn around to see my car rolling towards the surf 
Luckily I managed to jump in and back it out before the situation got out of hand! LOL. Only problem is I smashed up my heel in the process which will see me sidelined for days 
Even after all that, I still have a big ol grin on my face knowing that im making progress.
So remember to put your handbrake on folks!!!

I had a horrible dream like your handbrake experience the other night. You know the kind where you wake up and are enormously relieved to find out your life hasn't been ruined.
In this dream, my mums car ran away from me just like that, I couldn't get in it and it got totaled and did a lot of damage.
Safety tip for all, don't get in front of a run away car, you will not stop it and it will end badly.

Yer, I've heard quite a few folk employ the self-launch method by utilizing the towing ball of the car, but that's taking it a bit far
