i got out on the weekend on a 12m...
I was very supprised... nice and smoooooth.
It turned very well, very diffent bar pressure to what im used too. you dont expect it to turn fast and it does..... allthough... i got a bit to keen and kite looped it... ouch... didnt quite turn fast enough for that...:)
Nice kite.
This thread has no purpose, the repeat replyers are making themselfs appear a bit silly. Market the product off the forums. BOOOhh!
I was actually asking a legit question.
I want to know how they ride, what type of kite they're similar to, ect..
Not a marketing ploy at all. I want to know what the current riders who have them think.
As for the red thumbs.. Yeah whatever.
Well I think the majority of folk on here would find this thread interesting. All power to the new brands, visions and contributions to the industry. Its great to have some home brands developing.
Would love to try this kite in the waves any chance of a demo around Perth.
everyone i know that has one seems to be loving them

Surely someone by now is capable of making an informed review instead of the above bland, all encompassing statement.
Constant winds,

I have the 8m Noise...
I have been an avid Fuel rider now (and still are) for 4 seasons and I was looking for a kite that would be better suited to my wave riding and I would keep my fuels for my TT.. I have tried other brands in my quest...
The funny thing about this kite - is that I unpacked it, pumped it up, launched it and I felt in control straight away. There was no transition for me at all, from the fuel to this kite. I even rigged one of my fuels and kept swapping them in a sech to get a comparison and to work out if this was the kite for me.
The kite is predictable, the turning speed on the 45cm bar is good and I am comparing everything to my fuels, from kite feedback to turning speeds. In my opinion, BWS have balanced the kite so well for unhooking and drifting that it translates into this unbelievably stable kite, in every way. It really does come into its own when unhooked and is hard to explain until you experience it for yourself. I have tried a number of kites in my search for my wave quiver and none have come close to this kite...
The one thing that I did notice, is the kite is grunty and I would compare my 8m noise to my 9m fuel... In my opinion this is great, as I would rather be using a 6m when riding my surfboard, for the obvious reason, so for me thats a bonuses...
Basically my only disappoint is that I only have the 8m and I wish I had the whole quiver...
I think this kite will appeal to a wide range of people and not only to people wanting to ride unhooked in the waves, because of its stability... I should add its seriously built and its been reinforced in all the right places... I think Ben has done a sick job...
Now we just need that seabreeze to blow again... mind you, until Friday I had 8 days out of 9 kiting thanks to the Perth doctor....
Regards
Andy
BW left SS in may and releases new brand a couple of months latter, time to believe the hype this is going to be massive.
loving the red thumbs.
Obviously we have hit a sore point... also a few people didn't get onto the test team and they're letting their thumbs do the talking? Or is it just tall poppy syndrome as DM says.
Either way thanks andy for the info.
I have a noise 8m. I've owned slingshot, naish, wainman, & still ride cabrinha kites.
Andy 76 is on the money with his review. It feels comfortable from the moment you put it up. I unhooked straight away and the kite just sits there. The bar size and grip is great. It's very stable. I've had new cabrinha switchblades quivers for the last 5 seasons and this is the first kite with minor tweaking that I would be happy to replace them with. Power wise bottom end, they compare with switchblades. ie an 8m SB similar to 8m noise. Turning speed similar as well, noise being fractionally quicker. Not sure about top end as it hasn't been windy enough on east coast as yet. An 8m and 6m quiver would do me at 72kg on a surfboard. The test rider thing has proved its worth as they have suggested a number of tweaks that they are introducing on the production models. (line winders, depower rope thickness..etc). I had a couple of queries and they were answered online same day (within hrs); so they look like they are going to have good back up service as well. I think it's a sensational first production effort. Well worth having a look at if your into waves or freeride. ![]()
Saw the 8 and 10m in the flesh. Didnt get to ride it, but checked out the kit. Looks like a slightly higher aspect Octane, but with less pulleys. The kite is well built, and looks really good compared to some of the euro kites or slingshots interesting colour schemes. What really impressed me was the bar and lines. Solid, metal, excellent swivel on the chicken loop assembly. Overall a very well manufactured kite.
Has anyone got any information about which shops in melbourne will be stocking the noise when it finally goes on sale proper.
RPS??
SHQ??
Any other places?
I want to see for myself if these things are any good.
Yeah I agree with you Waxman cause u have a wise head.
I hope not, but BW is gonna burn some coin, or someone else's on his kite making dabble.
Compare the fun, being a global kitestrutter to being an office jockey running a business selling kites.
The best option is to TRY one of these beauties, seriously stable and predictable, great up wind kite. Ask someone for a demo- should be a few more around about xmas time.
how long did delivery take for you guys that have bought them? just ordered mine wondering how long till they arrive
yep id go the 6 and 10 combo to replace your 7 and 11 Rev's. they are super grunty for their size. the 8 for example is equivilent to a 9 or 10 in most other brands - its just the way they have sized them. but all that info is on the website!
