The day we kited the righthander we were on 5m kites wound out of our minds, it was pretty much the gustiest wind ever and it was a lucky dip every time you were about to take off on a wave whether your kite would fall out of the sky or not.

It baffles me how you can take so many brilliant riders, get such good footage, and make a movie that is so bloody awful. That was about 25 minutes of talking and 3 minutes of kiting. You cut the ends of all the good waves, you never let a piece of footage run for longer than 20 seconds, you talked through every piece of footage instead of letting the music run....what the hell where you thinking?!? This could have been SO awesome.
Some sick waves and as for there being too much talking, it is the promotional part. 
From a personal perspective I would like to see some more turns, tail slides and surfing the wave. Like some surfing movies, too many barrels can look the same and are not always as great to watch compared to what they are getting them.
Does make me start frothin and want to go on a trip and score some stuff like that though.

i sat through five minutes of that crap and there wasn't any kiting, oh sorry two slow mo sequences of your front side, back side air, and power to you, that was sick; but seriously, there is no way i am putting up my hard earned for a hard copy if what you have put online is any indication of the boringsville i would end up sitting through.
rylands movie, i would buy that, even if the hard copy only had say ten more minutes than what he posted here. and it wouldn't even have to be as full on knarly. it would be nice, but i understand self preservation and appreciate just watching good kiting.
the teaser is exactly that; its awesome, makes you wanna go to ben wilsons site enter an email address for his own dodgy marketing purposes, just to see more sick kiting from the teaser...
then you get sucker punched and end up using precious download to watch another god awful boring ben wilson wankathon

Heavy wave, familiar gusty southerly south coast conditions, and the guys getting so deep in it. Impressed.

on the contrary, i appreciate the skills ben and his cohorts have, i like watching riders like the ones on his movies so i can draw from them and try to improve my skills. he is just as good a surfer as kiter.
i'm just sayin
he should just stick to what he knows and what he does best, blowin up.
after watching the teaser, i thought, here we go finally a bw movie that is not more fluffy wankfest than kiting, then i downloaded the stream, and sat through five minutes of fluffy wank fest and saw no kiting.
i don't care how beautiful or special a tourist thinks the place is, if i wanna sit through that i'll get a t.v and watch getaway with that annoying horse face catriona.
if he's trying to recreate dramatic effect and male bonding lovey dove essence of the trip fine, just put all that fluffy wank stuff in the bonus features of the dvd, keep the movie 'moving'.
5mins of initial fluff before any glimpse of kiting in a kitesurf movie 28mins long, man c'mon

to get more movie out more often with quality footage takes alot of time, my mates vid is 15 bucks at news agents for another couple of weeks... all super quality waves....it took three years to build that .... check "Stalk 2" warning: its a lid film
Props to him he shot the stills that won this years biggest barrel in the oakley big wave awards as well..That one of Mark Mathews on that right.

"Doctor Kook" you have obviously never had an epic session? Maybe you should stick to kiteing on the river and perfecting your back rolls (that mybe a little advanced for you). Anyway dood do not come to WA, I will have to use you as a speed hump.

i just watched it again to make sure i'm not missing the point, i will stand by what i have already said.
the kiting is good, there's just too much wanky fluff.
when i said it took 5mins before some kiting was shown, it was actually 8mins
the end part after it said thanks for watching, then there's like a three minute segment, thats what the entire movie should be like, all the cool riding edited to flow better, keep the jovial banter but cull it to let the kiting take over.
