I just paid for a new board duh!!! so I thought it would be only fair to share my win from last week with my kiting freinds

KITEACTION AUCTIONS

Each week a new product will be listed here

MAKE A BID ON THIS PRODUCT

BRAND NEW

2009 Crazyfly Raptor ProKiteboard 137 x 41cm

Description

Finding the right balance between stiffness and flex, we created the progressive flex tips II technology, and brought the pop to the top. Meaning that the shock absorbing system, progressive flex tips II, enhanced pop, and the newly shaped tip’s outline, makes the take offs easier and the landings much softer, preventing your knees from pain. Special 3D effect color changes colors like a chameleon from red to green, which makes the design very eye catching. The UV stabile top sheet foils assure that the design will maintain its looks even after direct tropic sunrays heat up the board.

We implemented new faster scoop rocker line and a slightly concaved bottom to make the 2009 Raptor faster and to improve its upwind abilities. To make every CrazyFly board more personalized, with the new super lightweight dual density EVA pads we included the option of adjusting the stance angle, so everybody is now able to adjust the stance angle to match all the preferences.

Raptor 2009 still remains one of the few boards on the market build with full Nano Carbon construction in series production. Our new CNC shaped Wood Tech Core II makes the board one of the lightest in the world. CNC shaped and hand fine finished 3 Dimensional ABS rails in combination with carbon layers and Wood Tech Core II are the heart of this unique board. Raptor 2009 comes with Quick Fix straps, handle and G 10 fins, which match the design of the board.

BIDDING ENDS FRIDAY 14th AUGUST 2009 AT 5PM

THE CURRENT HIGHEST BID IS $490.25

KITEACTION'S STARTING PRICE: $490.00

^^^^^how do you figure????
Have only had good experiances with warrenty etc from the aussie shops.
Even when I thought something wouldnt be covered by warrenty they have helped me out.I think you would be surprised how small a mark up they have on new kites.

Just thought I'd point out the poster doing the auction is a shop.

Either all you guys above
are SNAG's
or
you all work in a shop.

490.25 is a good price for a board. It should be this all the time.
Obviously the shop makes something like 300 profit/board or it wouldnt be advertized for 490.

Pray you get your 300 worth of customer service

OK not sure why my posting got this negative response??? sure shops are in it for a profit, that's why it is called a job!!! high branded surf tee cost about 3 dollors to make and sold for 49 thats profit!!! I am new to kiting so far I have seen nothing but service, friendship and lots of FUN!! Not something I am used too, especially from the sport that I come from, a 15 mill industry which I got a fraction of service of what I have seen from the kiting and I am the current world champ. I am sure kite action has a agenda behind the auction, who cares not me! I won a very cheap kite

Yes lovely he bought a board, that had nothing to do with the auction.

He won last weeks auction which was the new 16m crossbow.

I think he was pointing out that if he had of known there was going to be board auctioned off this week he would have waited and tryed to snap up another bargin.

I understand sometimes things seem too good to be true.

Luke.
I think the Auction is a great Idea (reminiscent of the greatest job in the world - Campaign)
Most of your target market is generally internet savvy
A great marketing concept that can hopefully direct internet traffic to your site and ultimately drive sales.
looking forward to your upcoming auctions
Well Done

My bad thought the poster worked for the shop - still doesn't change the fact that the shop is doing the auction.

Can some one tell me what a SNAG is - wish some of the people in forums would just type it out instead of talking the lazy route.

PS - I wish I worked in a shop I'd never buy gear and use the demo gear

I thought there was a no advertising rule in here - even for site sponsors.

Or did I miss something?

I don't like marzipan and that is about as releveant as some of the comments above..

You don't have to love shops but you don't have to buy from them anyway (unless you want a warranty and after sales).

I reckon the manufactureers are taking the biggest cut and they need to pull their heads in a bit. Could be wrong on that though.

This thread could have made it a bit clearer initially that it was a shop selling the board as it definately looked a bit suss appearing to be a lone punter. Live n learn.
