WTF according to our WAKSA president local retailers say popular spots along ningaloo reef have become overcrowded to a point of being dangerous.
Sitting here watching scarborough yesterday I reckon mr president should look in his own back yard. I saw 6 kites go down in white water all near swimmers between scarborough and trigg.
shouldnt retailers be happy thier busy ? arent u turtle, are you that busy

Dear Turtle Hunter
It probably would have been more appropriate for you to contact WAKSA or me directly TL to discuss this, but you haven't & here we are...
For the record, Scoop did ask for some comments about kiting in WA in November last year. I corrected many of their erroneous assumptions and incorrect information that they were going to initially print. If you like I will send you a copy of my advice/comments for Scoop - please advise? What the magazine chooses to print is something outside my control as I'm sure you will appreciate.
After having made a trip to Exmouth in October last year I am also somewhat familiar with how uncrowded the place is. Why would I then say it's dangerous &/or overcrowded???
Happy to discuss if you want - please PM me.

Verify a story before sticking it to someone on the internet?
That's not the seabreeze way!!
Phones don't exist.
Neither do apologies!
I remember somone putting a post up a while ago about heading up that way and Turtle was like sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. ............who's doing the advertising now?
Sorry guy's just got back in range after my little dummy spit. Juddy sorry for that after having cooled down and re reading the article I see it has nothing to do with you, it actually looks like it came from me somehow. Next time I get hot headed I will double check and pm first if possible.
When I first realised my mistake I thought this thread had been cancelled but obviously not.
So I have tucked my head in now and I actually got out at Scarborough yesterday and well I would hate to try and get some waves there on a marginal weekend day, the swimmers just seem to love going out wherever you go. Bit of fun though and what a work out on your knees.
@ F there is a big difference between advertising relatively unknown surf spots and promoting flat water spots. We are the jet ski's of the future and don't need to upset surfers more than necessary. Although I can see that changing as it gets more popular with some flat water spots getting overcrowded.
@ gibbo yep it's a double edged sword as a shop owner.
Sorry again Juddy I owe you a few beers
so what was the need to post this topic for anyways?
all up there is over 2 hours of time been devoted to pointless replies.
WTF!
Turtle
it's all good mate. Not the first time anybody's hit enter on this forum and had second thoughts....
It's not helped by the fact that the article that started this whole thing got a number of facts wrong, despite phone calls & emails to the journo who wrote it.
Oh hang on...you're saying the media got something wrong - WTF???[}:)][}:)]
Talk soon.
