WARNING - check the inside seem before you buy a pair of stretchy boardies.

I bought a new pair of the wiz bang billabong ones, (semi expensive) not the 150 dollar ones. The material is amazing, however the fashionistas over looked one critical bit, the inside seem. Which has been perfectly designed to turn your balls into cherry tomatoes, also resulting in a pooman stance for at least a week.
After a nice 2 hour session last sunday, i'm now suffering the consequnces. Buyer beware.

Even Pom's know what they are, so 'wannbe' Poms should be fine:

+1 I use to wear the lycra bike shorts under my boardies.....

Walking home from the surf in wet boardies was a killer................ after a few days and massive chaffing you end up walking like a cowboy desperate to keep the thighs apart.

O'niell hyperfreak boardies are the best. I've always got to wear lycra compresson shorts under any boaries though. Otherwise after a few hours on the water my knob looks like somone has taken a belt sander to it.

The rip curl seamless boardies rock... I have had a pair for about 6 years. Last year they finally split in indo.... Just superglued them back in one piece... Total rockin shorts ( expensive though )

ebay. I've found sellers doing them for like $60 delivered and they are legit. They fit pretty normal and have loads of stretch. I don't mind paying more for a really good pair of boardies. I've got a pair of old O'Neill Superfreaks that I bought in Japan in 06. Still going strong.
