traveling to vanuatu

hay there ,im new to kiting and am doing a trip to vanuatu to kite and surf with a mate over the vanuatu classics(8-16 august) but have know idea on the wind that will be coming up against. a little info or past experience of the place would be helpfull and apreciated.

Heaps of fun, not much wind, well only light winds, as you can see from the news article. Of course the wind blew after we left. They get the usual trade winds.
Lots of coral, reef shoes/booties a must, very, very remote, extreme care needs to be taken if you get hurt in North Efate or on the outer islands, its going to be mega sketchy.
People are very friendly, however conditions are typical of many south pacific islands, they tend to be a bit 3rd worldish.
