hey guys,

i'm off to bali on friday for a week... i never been there, so not sure what to expect in terms of wind... i'm wondering if i should take my kite 12m SB or forget about it and try to rent something there...

just don't want to have to take the kite and board all the way there, with the risk of paying extra luggage to find out is not windy enough for a 12m there...

can anyone help????

cheers.

Use search function.

People pay Ben Wilson hundreds per day to attend his wave camp and there are pro's playing there, so I think I would take my kite.

Hey Flip,
If you knew how to kitesurf ...
and you had a freaking big-arse doona kite,
Bali would be perfect for a wind-freak like your good self.

If you don't take your gear and the wind up you'll be pished off!! Take it just incase, if its not blowing you could aways trade the cab in for some nice hair braids or a bintang singlet.

Heheh thanks guys,

That's it just checked with virgin blue and they don't charge for sporting gear (hope kiteboarding is considered a sport heheh), so one more reason for taking it just in case...

Let's just hope I get at least half a day of good wind and I'll be happy.... ;)

Cheers
Dan

I will go back through the archive and get the Bali article for you and post the article. Yes take your gear, the who's who of kiting head to Bali every winter to get a blast of warm water, warm wind and warm Bintang. The wind is a little on and off but when it does turn on you have many great places to ride.
Check back soon.
