Hi all
would anybody be interested in going wake boarding during the winter to improve board skills.

I know the cable park closed years ago. and i have seen people out on the river.
Does anybody know if there is spot on a boat or a club that i could join

cheers in advance

I've got a mate with a nice boat but he uses it more for fishing. How ****ing boring is that?

I don't have the dough or desire to buy a boat but I'd definetly be in like flynn with some petrol money and beers for afterword.

you can wakeboard at Bonney's Water Ski Park all year round. Awesome malibu boat, dead flat water and they charge by the hour......

popped into to Bonneys after work to have a look and get prices. Looks good. Its $40/15mins all in or $140/perhour all in and you can take and use your kiteboard if you wish. The bloke at the place said in winter you can get out easily at the weekends. And that cans are good no bottles allowed in the park.

so when the wind starts doing its own thing this sounds good

Damn!! i sold my wakesetter because i never used it.. i was thinking of starting a wake school but when i looked into the insurance premiums it would not have been worthwhile..

Is anybody keen to see if we can get this together? The lack of wind lately and my winter getaway still being 3 months away is getting me down.

I looked on wake.com.au 3 weeks ago and found a bloke who heads out every week. so far we have been out 3 days every week and it cost $25 for the whole day. that's the way to go. I rocked up expecting to do flips and axes spins but trust me, just because you are a good kiter doesn't mean you can wake board. yeah you will get up first go and carve will be easy but the jumps and tricks are a whole new world!!!
