no big deal, but 'guy' (thats his name) who does kite demos on the gold coast has had his, all black toyota hiace with green flames and white skulls airbrushed on it, stolen from his surfers paradise apartment full of all his surfboards, pushbikes and 3 cabrinha converts 7,9,12 white and orange. best guru's 6 and 9 orange and black. plus 135 and 145 cabrinha rival boards and a 2010 prodigy 148 board.
i hope if anyone is offered this gear they will do the right thing and contact gold coast police. thanx, ian.
ouch sorry to hear the bad news Guy! I hope some of the stuff was insured, I had similar happening at Easter - my store area was broken into with 1 surfboard, 1 custom kite surfboard, 1 TT, 1 skimboard and 1 cruiser skateboard taken! I was devastated and even have a good idea who it was but can't prove anything so had to let it go and move on....
Hope you get the van back, the gear turns up and the crooks get caught or at least get their KARMA.
Will keep an eye out for the gear - I would make a list with pics of the gear included where possible (from web sites or catalog) and photocopy 100 give a copy to every kitesurfer that comes into the store and pass them around at the beach to all riders..... MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS what stuff was taken!!

van was found abandoned in an outer suburb with no damage, a full tank of pets and only guy's surfboard and fave nikes stolen.
must have been stolen to avoid a cab fare. 
however is now covered in more white fingerprinting dust than last weeks duststorm!

I don't think that would have been the same story here in WA. Not being area specific, but every car I've seen abandoned whether it's due to breaking down or driver being processed at cop shop for DUI. When the owners return they find the car with every window smashed and parts missing.
Go grab a lotto ticket guy, it appears luck is on your side.
