I got it from my uncle who lives in queensland he owns a sailmaking company and has contacts that are doing some designing of the hulls and playing around with them.
There are a few out racing at the moment but they still need some developing.

Do they use rudder foils? They'd be bloody hard to sail downwind without them. They must be quick uphill.

Yeah thats the standard 12s. I was trying to find info on the new skinny ones.(thanks for that though). 12s look like fun to sail but they would be super expensive. $20000 for a bare hull ,then you need to get three rigs and fit the thing out.

Yeh but my god they would be a bloody awsome boat to sail.
I was talking to one of the guys who sails a boat in sydney, and his lightwind kite is 54sqm. God damn that would be fun.

As for price there is always sponsorship and also SECOND HAND BOATS, might of heard of them before. Dont know

i think their around 48000 rigged at the moment, but i guess as they set in, and become more common the price will lower.

I wouldnt have thought the hull price for a skinny one or a fat one would be alot different.

It isn't really that much difference, if you look at the van munster site. The $20800 is for a bare hull without rudder box, without undercoat, without paint, without selfdraining. Just a bare carbon hull.

For a van munster hull fully rigged without masts, foils, booms or sails, it costs around $30000.

Then if you add the cost of 3 masts, 3+ sets of sails, booms, foils (1815 each) ect ect.

Then i guess its actually quite close together

I know stuff all about it, all i got was an email with some pictures, and a price...
I think it's being made by a few people rather than a "company" as its not really in production yet.
