I was sailing on the Pitts
Having to use my wits
As the mega rich's cruisers roared on by
The wake that they produced
a fear in me induced
As I could see my 'end of days' were well on nigh
As I turned into the swell
I could for certain tell
That I would end up with a good dose of the drownies
As my boat rocked to and fro
You and I already know
That I was having a bad case of the up'n'downies
Missus and me went for a sail on the Pittwater. It was a week day but school holidays were on so
everybody was on the water. The mega cruisers were out in force, justifying their cost by roaring
up and down. Now the Missus knows that if you turn into the swell bow on, it's a whole lot more
comfortable than copping it on the beam, but she hasn't quite got to grips with the fact that it's
something you can do under motor but it's a whole lot more difficult under sail. So she's yelling
at me 'turn into it...go on" and I'm saying 'It's too late to put a tack in'. So what do you blokes
do when 'she who must be obeyed' is issuing orders that you can't carry out??
HAHAHA on the yacht Sam ,you are the Skipper . So your reply in that situation could be " hold on dear"
