Interesting video. Not for the concept, its been done before but for being a clever prick in making the video.

Pretty sure this is the same bloke asking questions on Boat design.net;

Tripod masts on monos have been done before. This bloke lives in Texas and only sails in light winds. Imagine sailing this rig off the NSW coast in summer and trying to shorten sail. The windage on the furled sails would be horrendous. Drag with all that keel surface area would slow the boat too. His small boat design with the same rig would reef the conventional way but what's the point, much better designs about.
