Hi all
my Roberts 34 has for the last few years had Altex no5 on it. my question is can I paint over it with Amercoat ABC3.

Can't help with your question about Amercoat, but am interested to hear how the Altex worked for you?

Why would you want to change from Altex 5?
Altex 5 is a very good product. I have used it and had good results.
I am currently using Micron 66 on this boat, which I think it might be a little better but probably not worth the extra cost.

I got 14 months out of it but it was a bit of a rush job it only had two litght coats of altex. But I have the opportunity to buy 20 Litres of ABC3 for $180 so I was wondering what it was like and whether it would go over Altex no 5

Yes, not a problem. They use almost identical formulations.
