Regular Seabreezers are probably tired of having me go on and on about Kangaroo Island (KI), but I can't get enough of the place
I took 6 colleagues there for the the Australia Day long weekend, exploring some old haunts, like Western River Cove, and some new ones like Mares Tail and Boxing Bay. We enjoyed perfect sailing, except for a rough Backstairs Passage crossing on the return trip (and that was only for a few hours).

I'm with you, scruzin. My #1 destination as well.
Btw - are you keeping your boat down at Wirrina now? I was checking it out when I stopped by on my return trip from Ki a couple weeks ago.
Lookin good!

Yes, I'm keeping Arriba at Wirrina. It's the perfect base for those KI and Fleurieu getaways
That said, I'm bringing it up to North Haven in a couple of weeks for the King of the Gulf (KoG) Race (Adelaide to Port Vincent).
Hi Scruzin
No need to apologise for banging on about KI. Spent a week there in Sept. It is a fantastic place. Lucky you are so close. May in fact crack a bottle of Bay of Shoals or Dudley red to go with my steak tonight.

The Bay of Shoals "Island Shiraz" is particularly nice. Unfortunately all of mine evaporated
Group as in "Sir Joseph Banks Group"? Yes, I've visited and gone into the old dilapidated homestead.
